 meet our teachers

At BSOTD, your teacher matters just as much as your technique. Many of our teachers were trained by Miss Barbara herself and continue to carry her legacy forward with the same warmth, discipline, and love of dance she instilled.

Under the direction of Miss Caley, our teaching team combines trusted methods with a fresh, modern approach, creating a supportive and consistent experience for every dancer, from preschool to adult.

Whether you’re enrolling your child or stepping into class yourself, you’ll be guided by teachers who are experienced, encouraging, and deeply invested in your growth.

I love to travel, paint, and I just started a new passion for skiing last winter! I used to work as an engineer, so I still love to build things, DIY, and design projects!

Dance Experience

I found my passion for dance when I was 5 and haven’t been able to stop since. I danced competitively throughout middle and high school and started my role as a Teachers Assistant when I was 14. This later progressed into a head teacher/choreographer role my junior year of high school. Throughout my 4 years at Roger Williams, I was active in the dance community where I choreographed multiple hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and modern pieces. for the Dance Club and Dance Theater. As a college student, I became a Guest Choreographer teaching Hip Hop for competitive teams in the Capital Region. Now, I reside in Albany where I am the head of the dance department at the Academy of the Holy Names, teach hip hop and contemporary, and lead short session classes for kids, adults, and senior citizens through Albany County Parks & Recreation.

Hi there! I’m Miss Riley. After growing up right down the road, I am so excited for my first season at BSOTD! I am currently a sophomore at UAlbany studying Human Development and Bioethics. After 3 years as a camp and afterschool counselor, I have grown a love for working with and helping out kids. I am so excited to take my experience into the field of dance!

Dance Experience

After over 12 years of cheerleading and gynmastics experience, I am so excited to take all my skills and knowledge and translate them to dance. Not only have I participated in cheer and gynmastics, I have also coached across a wide range of levels and ages in those areas. I can’t wait to help my students learn and build up all of their skills this season!
